Bishop Kingsley Ewansiha
Bishop Kingsley Ewansiha encountered Jesus Christ in the year 1981 upon being invited to Church of God Mission International in Benin City, Nigeria.
During the service, the choir sang a song entitled, “Can nobody do me like Jesus”. This song ministered to him so much that he started thinking of making Jesus his choice. Prior to this encounter, he was into a very rough life of smoking marijuana and all kinds of cigarettes. Shortly after the song by the choir, the pastor of the church preached and made an alter call, by which time it became obvious to him that he needed help. He walked down the aisle and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
Following his salvation experience, he joined the new converts’ class where he was taught the elementary steps of following Jesus Christ. Thereafter, he joined the choir and other service groups in the church.
Few years later, Bishop Kingsley Ewansiha had a unique call in an encounter with Jesus Christ in 1984, while doing a song with the choir entitled “Awake and sing and let the heavenly joy bells ring”. Somewhere in the middle of the song, the Lord appeared to him and took him to a realm that cannot be describe by humans and told him to get ready for a greater assignment. Bishop knew immediately that this was a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. Like Prophet Isaiah, he answered here I am Lord, send me! He immediately enrolled in All Nations for Christ Bible Institute, Nigeria, where he graduated and obtained a diploma in theology in 1986. In addition, Bishop Ewansiha holds a diploma in information technology from the Institute of Data Processing Management, London, B.Sc. honors degree in accounting, from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and several financial services licenses.
Shortly after his graduation from the bible school, he was made an Assistant Pastor/Youth Pastor of Church of God Mission International, Amuwo, Lagos, Nigeria. He was officially ordained an Evangelist/Pastor by the late Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Benson A. Idahosa, the founding Archbishop of Church of God Mission International in 1988. Bishop Kingsley Ewansiha pioneered the opening of many branches of the Church of God Mission (CGMI) International in Lagos, Nigeria. He relocated to the United States in 1999. Since relocating to the United States, he has served as the senior Pastor of Church of God Mission Int’l, Victory Chapel, Garland, Texas USA. He was consecrated a bishop by the sitting Archbishop of Church of God Mission International on August 07, 2021, to oversee the work of Church of God Mission in North America.
He is married to Pastor (Mrs.) Felicia O. Ewansiha. They are blessed with three lovely children; Clinton, Daisy and Dawn.
